Blessings, Blessings and More Blessings....

What a wonderful fall November here in Spokane.  We have had very little snow and lots of sun shiny days :) Today as I was leaving my MOPS group, the MOPPETS coordinator was holding the door open (you know it is a warm November day if she is standing in the door way, holding it open as she says goodbye to all her little moppets) and I really felt as if I was heading out to a sunny Spring day.  I hope you enjoy seeing our November in pictures.

The 4-6 graders at Meadowridge put on a great Veteran's Day Concert.  Here is Alli with one of her favorite Veterans....PAPA

Cowboy Days ???  It never occurs to me to dress up as a Cowboy, but for some reason dress up is never far from a kid's mind...huh maybe a lesson here for us OLDIES

The one snow day we did have Jeter and Rece kept busy stock piling their arsinal

Just like all of you, our evenings are jam packed with activity...basketball, awana, church, girl scouts, dance you name it.  We added this year violin.  Alli did great at her first concert and a bonus for us is her position on stage...there were tons of kids and some were hard to see.  Alli was right up front...I wonder how she swung that...It must have been her pretty smile.  A disclaimer here...the videos are not good (or I could really say horrible) but this busy mom NEVER remembers the video camera, so the digital camera had to make due, and basically I pretty much am the worst videographer :)

Sorry this one is even sideways

AND now back to where we began....blessing abounding.  Jeter did such a great and heartfelt job reading us his Thanksgiving Thoughts....and of course Mrs Hale made the list for not giving much homework...Jeter we too are Thankful for that :)

See you in December.....

Pumpkins, Costumes, Apples and Everything Fall

Lots of fun soccer for Alli...including her her first over
night out of town trip.  They even painted the windows of the cars
with their numbers and team name.

A football injury sent us to the ER for some "glue"
stitches...hey wait I thought this was
FLAG FOOTBALL

And of course fall would not be complete without a beautiful
sunny afternoon at Greenbluff.  We hunted for the
perfect pumpkins and tasted yummy apples.
The best part of the day though was seeing
one of our favorite teachers and orchard owner :)

Creating the perfect Jack-o-lanterns

Lunch with Papa Lanny and Ella...we will be a lot
bigger when they get home from AZ in the spring

We have lots of great friends in our neighborhood.
Jeter and Cooper got right to work one day
after school....since they we had to get
homework done before getting down and dirty
in the daily neighborhood football game.

Quicny helped her good friend celebrate her birthday
Happy 4th birthday Jaycee :)

Who knew....guess Quincy will be asking
Santa for a 4WW (physical therapist speak
for a 4 wheeled walker)

And of course we rounded out October as a warewolf, black cat,
red ninja (not to be confused with last years white ninja)
and sweet dorothy.  Kendall joined us too playing the
part of "cutest pumpkin ever"

Hope you all had a fabulous October.  Here's to counting our
blessings in November (which we would never be able
to do it justice).  See you then....

Hitting the ground running...

Just like all of you, our September was busy, busy busy.  It feels like you start with soccer, then go to dance, football, awana, church activities, birthday parties, volunteering at school etc and REPEAT !!  Somehow Alex and I have to fit in work and basketball and running (the last 2 are starting to lead to lots of ice and hot packs as we are getting REALLY old).  The pictures to follow do tell the story of chaos, but also of some amazing memories, proud parent moments and friendships made

The kids were super excited to get to their classrooms and meet up with old friends again

Every year we read the "Kissing Hands" book to get ready to go back to school.  Here they are with their little "kissing hands" reminder so that I can be "with them" all day at school

Of course Quincy had to get in on the first day of school posing

Quincy's first day of dance class...she had been super excited since watching her big sis over the last few years but as it finally got here (and she actually had to go IN to the studio) her braveness waivered.  After a couple weeks of "I will go tomorrow" we have decided to wait until next year.  I guess she will have to spend yet another year of having her main "activity" be riding in the van

Rece and a couple of "kickers" buddies

Jeter's first flag football game...he is playing both FB and soccer this year which is crazy but he is having a blast.
Alli is playing soccer too of course

We had a great time on our annual September Seattle trip.  The crowd at the Mariner's game was pretty sparse but that was great for us...We were able to get 4 home run balls during batting practice, which is a record for us
We try to do something new whenever we head over to Seattle...this year we went to the museum of flight
I am so blessed to be watching my neice Kendall on Wednesdays...She even helped me clean out the laundry room.  How was all of that in the laundry room??

And I finished out the month with the colbert 1/2 marathon...thanks to my 2 great running partners, or should I say "talking partners", since we pretty much talk our way thru the entire 13 miles :)

SEE YOU ALL IN OCTOBER
