We started out the month with a bang. We finally took the plunge and took the kids skiing for the first time. A shout out to my brother Keith and his wife, Meghan for going with us. I had not gone since PT school so I knew I would need some help with the kids. Alex had never gone skiing (basketball coaches are not keen on letting their players ski) so I knew he would be of no help. So with Keith and Meghan, we each were able to be in charge of one kiddo, and then just let Alex fall down the mountain. My Mom was amazing and kept Quincy and cousin Kendall busy in the lodge and the condo :) We stayed the night at Silver Mt and loved the water park the next day. The kids praciticed up their boogie boarding skills which would come in handy later in the month :)
We had so much fun with many of our annual Christmas events....Breakfast with Santa (Quincy still would rather take 4 naps in a row than get within a football field of Santa--maybe next year she will join us in the pic), Alli's school play (Alli was a grave digger in The Christmas Carol and got to dance to thriller and learn the technique of ratted hair), Christmas baking and our church Christmas play. All great memories.
We were then off to Hawaii with Alex's family (all 17 of us). What a wonderful, relaxing, fun-in-the-sun 11 days. The kids (and parents too) had so much fun with the cousins,kyaking, turtle hunting, jumping off cliffs (mom was firmly planted on the ground), swimming in the ocean, building sand castles, enjoying the luau,and lots of boogie boarding. Great times !!!
We were looking forward to celebrating Christmas when we got home with Kelli's family. We had a wonderful celebration and were spoiled by *SANTA*
